You are required to take classes regarding the law in the state of Virginia, this classes aim to provide you the necessary knowledge about safety, work laws, the financial management of your company and topics associated with the development of your company and your work as a licensed contractor, this class is mandatory by the state of Virginia and it has a length of 8 hours.

Once you have taken the classes, we will make sure to send your personal information to the state of Virginia, the board requires to have your information in order to apply for the license, by submitting your information they will know that you’ve successfully fulfilled this requirement.

The following step is to gather documents to complete the application, we will guide you in this process as well and we will make sure to help you complete it. Depending on the type of license you may apply we need to prove a financial solvency, and you will need to ask the information of a licensed contractor to obtain the license. This process includes the programming of your exam depending on your availability.

Please be advised that if your company is not registered in the state of Virginia, but it is in any other state within the United States, you will need to do so, the name of the process is called foreign company registration.

After we submit the application there is a waiting period to be approved that will require 30 official days, when your information is accepted you may need to take a class concentrated on the type of specialty you will work at the state of Virginia, this class will be exclusively about this skill (ex: Roofing, painting, landscaping, etc).
